The Bala of Waja Chiefdom in Gombe State, Alhaji Mohammed Danjuma Mohammed, has described unity and peaceful coexistence as panacea to achieving meaningful development in Nigeria.
The monarch stated this in Talasse, headquarters of Balanga local government area of the state during inauguration of newly elected executives of the Waja Progressive Union (WAPA).
He called on the people of the chiefdom to embrace unity to attract development to the area.
Mohammed further added that people of the chiefdom had to remain united and maintain peace among themselves irrespective of religious affiliation to be able to confront numerous problems that were bedeviling the area.
Bala Waja advised the executives of WAPA to unite the Waja people and also be proactive in addressing problems that hinder the progress of the chiefdom.
National President of WAPA, Dr Daniel Jatau, thanked the royal father for his effort by bringing them together and gaving them the mandate to serve their people.
He also appealed to the Waja chiefdom to give them support to enable them bring more development to the area.
