The chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Caretaker committee in Kano State, Abdullahi Abbas, has accused some people of misinterpreting his political statements to create tension between his party and the oppositions in the state.
Abbas stated this when he received a delegation from Kano Youth Political Forum in his office, as part of the organisation’s awareness tour ahead of Kano State local government elections.

He said people often misunderstood his words to be controversial.
Abbas added that in reality the perception of the people is not the same because he is very different.
“Usually, it is the circumstances that is leading us to send a strong message to our oppositions,” he explained.
He described the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as a gentleman and base on the current scenario in Kano politics, the ruling party must be very strong to confront the oppositions.
“Therefore, since the governor is very gentle, I am the person in the best position to tackle anything that comes from them.
“And I usually use their style to reply them.”
In his remark, the Chairman of the Kano Youth Political Forum, Mukhtar Dauda Raula, said the association was set up to change the political landscape in Kano State and to debunk allegations that politicians are hiding their children and engaging the children of the masses into drug abuse and political thuggery.
