The rise in the price of kerosene has made more people to resort to the use of charcoal for cooking.
The Head of Department of Agric Engineering, Federal Polytechnic Bida, Engineer Jonathan Jacob Shiro, stated that more trees are being cut to produce charcoal which is cheaper than kerosene.
 “More people have resorted to the use of charcoal for cooking,” he said.
