The 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, yesterday paid a visit to former Attorney General and minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.
The meeting held at the Abuja residence of Malami where the two leaders of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) held discussions for few hours.
A source close to the former Labour Party presidential candidate said the meeting was purely an act of solidarity on the part of Obi to his fellow party man.
“You know the former Attorney-General has been through a lot through lately. He has been harassed, detained and had been released. So the visit was an act of solidarity and not too discuss politics,” the source said.
The source said the atmosphere is hardly one to discuss politics but to share in his predicament and make it known that they stand in solidarity with the former former minister.
The meeting came hours after Malami was freed from custody.
