Peterside urges Amaechi to declare for presidency

A governorship aspirant in Rivers State on the platform of the APC, Dr Dakuku Peterside, has urged the minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, to declare for the 2023 presidency without further delay.

Dr Peterside, who made the call in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, venue for an APC thanksgiving service in honour of Amaechi, a former governor of the state, said Amaechi was eminently qualified to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari and run the country for the better.

According to a statement yesterday by his media office, Peterside said Amaechi had shown sufficient capacity and will to take the best decisions for the overall interest of Nigerians if given the mandate.

Meanwhile, a presidential aspirant on the platform of the APC, Ihechukwu Dallas Chima (IDC), yesterday, unveiled his presidential campaign team in Abuja.

Mr Chima said he was in the race to rescue the country from imminent collapse and deliver good governance to the people.

He said Nigeria was not too complicated to run, adding that he would deliver millions of jobs to youths in order to stabilise the country.
