Pharmacists’ council inducts 107 graduates

The Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) has inducted 107 graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State into the council. 

The induction had Patrick Okon, the overall best graduating student of the 2019/2020 induction set, clinching five of the nine prices in Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology among others.

Speaking yesterday in Uyo during the 21st oath-taking and induction ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor of Uniuyo, Prof. Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, told the inductees that the pharmacy profession opens doors that would lead them to greater heights, and charged them to comport and submit themselves to mentoring. 

Registrar of PCN, Elijah Mohammed, urged them to undertake their one-year internship programme very seriously, and pass their pre-registration examination for Pharmacists (PEP) to be eligible to practice in Nigeria.
