Phase3 Telecom has said its contractors and other telecom stakeholders must start looking beyond profit maximization but do more to increase broadband penetration in the country.
This was disclosed by the firm chief executive officer Mr Stanley Jegede at its first annual contractors’ engagement forum and awards held in Abuja.
Mr Jegede, said the very demanding and rapidly evolving telecommunications landscape called for an urgent rethink in how Phase3 Telecom deploys its services.
He said its contractors must begin to see beyond increasing profits but as industry stakeholders that are integral to addressing the existing market gaps in meeting broadband services.
The event which was attended by a large network of suppliers, and roll -out experts across the country focused on seeking inputs; discussing feedbacks, the required ingenuity, and transparency of stakeholders in facilitating change to enhance network project objectives, the statement said.
The event also featured a short ceremony to honour the company’s outstanding contractor – Sir Feliy Telecoms limited for its accomplishments and notable contributions to the Phase3 network for the year, 2017.
