Barrister Shuaibu Maina Birma, a philanthropist, has secured the installation of 40 solar street lights in Ngurum village, Gulani LGA of Yobe State.

Barrister Maina, who I/s a former secretary, Directorate of Human Resources and Staff Development, National Assembly, secured the project from the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA).

Shehu Pukuma Ngurum, an indigene of the village, said the man had been assisting people in the area through his office and resources by donating food and non-food items to the people.

He said, “Our village is now connected with solar street lights courtesy of our own son, we are all jubilant now.
