Justice Adenike Akinpelu of the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin, on Monday, jailed one AbdulKareem Ridwan to one-year imprisonment.
The convict, 25, a phone repairer, was prosecuted by the anti-graft agency on two count charges bordering on cybercrime and possession of fraudulent funds.
He was accused of unlawfully obtaining the sum of N232,0a00 through his UBA account.
The offence is contrary to and punishable under Section 319 (a) of the Penal Code.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges.
Justice Akinpelu in her judgement sentenced him to six months imprisonment on each of the two counts to run concurrently.
She gave an option of fine of N100,000 on each count and ordered the convict to forfeit iPhone 11 and $80 which he benefited from the crime to the federal government.
