Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State on Thursday accompanied the deputy governor nominee, Murtala Sule Garo, to the Kano State House of Assembly for his screening.

Among those present were the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Mariya Mahmud; Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, Abubakar Kabir Bichi; Alhassan Ado Doguwa; Sagir Ibrahim Koki; and former Minister, Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, among others.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf had, on Tuesday, forwarded Garo’s name to the Assembly for confirmation following the resignation of his former deputy, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo.

The Assembly had earlier constituted a screening committee to consider the nominee’s credentials and suitability for the position.
