Members of the organised labours have shut down the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) head office in Abuja over the hike in electricity tariff.
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) have also shut down offices of Distribution Companies across the nation.
The unions had earlier given a deadline of May 12 for the upward review to be cancelled. However, since the Federal Government did not comply with its demand, they mobilised their members to picket NERC and DisCos.
