There is low turnout in Kano State as the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) is set to embark on a protest against economic hardship induced by government policies.

Daily Trust reports that the protest which was slated to begin by 8am is yet to kick off as of 9.30am in Kano, though it is already on going in other states.

It was gathered that the state Chairman of the NLC, Comrade Kabiru Inuwa is nowhere to be found at the venue, Race Course ground, as of that time.

Daily Trust reports that the NLC protests in the past in the state usually got full attendance of different unions, organisations and groups.
