Nigerians in the FCT and environs still go about their daily routine without observing said of the protocols set out for restricting the spread of COVID-19.
This is despite a government pronouncement in February that violators could face a six-month jail term.
In this visual story, attention is on the National Assembly, where both visitors and staff openly violate mask wearing and social distancing while on duty.
The lawmakers of both chambers themselves seem more aware of the pandemic and its consequences when restrictions are flouted.
For this visual story, lawmakers were observed for over a month to see if they would violate protocols in public. They were instead conscious of wearing their masks properly when in public.
