The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Wednesday, attended court proceeding with his lawyers over his party’s legal request to inspect Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines and other electoral materials deployed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the February 25 elections.

Obi, in a statement he shared via his Twitter handle on Wednesday, said he decided to cancel his campaign trips to appear in court with his lawyers.

He wrote, “I have arrived at the Appeal Court in Abuja. The place of the Nigerian Judiciary as a revered national institution remains important. We believe in due process.”
