President Muhammadu Buhari was on Tuesday conferred with the chieftaincy title of Ochioha Ndigbo (Leader of Igbo people) by South East traditional rulers led by Eze Eberechi Dick.
He was also conferred as Enyioma 1 of Ebonyi.
The presidency has been celebrating the chieftaincy titles on its official social media accounts.
The Governors of Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, Imo and Kogi were present at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu to welcome him.
The welcome also came with 2 Chieftaincy titles: Enyioma 1 of Ebonyi, which I am told means Trustworthy friend of Ebonyi; & Ochioha Ndigbo, which means Leader of Igbo people. I am a strong believer in the unity of Nigeria. Our diversity should be a source of strength not weakness pic.twitter.com/GJBJiH5tzg
