Vice President JD Vance of the United States, was one of the last visitors of Pope Francis.
The deputy of President Donald Trump, who is a Catholic, had visited the Pontiff, during the Easter holiday.
Vance met with Francis briefly on Sunday to exchange Easter greetings in one of the reception rooms of the Vatican hotel where the deceased had been living since he left Rome’s Gemmlli Hospital, where he was admitted on March 23, 2025.
Video of the visit showed the Pope presenting gifts to Vance for his wife and kids. The US vice-president also posed for photograph before leaving the religious leader.
