The Chairperson of Neutral and Equality Transformation Initiative, Hajiya Amina Suleiman, has commended the federal government for embarking on programmes that bring hope and opportunities to physically-challenged persons.
She particularly commended the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Mohammed Abbas Isa, for his initiatives for persons with disabilities.
Hajiya Amina Suleiman made the commendation when she led a team to present the Holy Quran to Isa at his office in Abuja on Thursday.
She said that field research conducted by her team showed that the SSA’s programmes had positively impacted people with special needs, and Nigerians in general.
According to her, the Holy Quran is meant to guide the SSA spiritually so that he can continue to develop more noble projects.
Responding, Isa appealed to Nigerians to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu so that the country can transform to greater heights.
He described the Holy Quran as a spiritual book of guidance and said he cherished the gift.
“Today is very significant for me as this is the second Holy Quran I am receiving, with the first having been earlier presented to me by the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria,” he said.
