Pilgrims airlift commences Aug 17

The Jigawa State Muslim Welfare  Pilgrimsý Board has announced August 17 as date for the commencement of airlift of the state pilgrims for this year’s hajj.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Sani Alhassan Muhammad, told journalists in Dutse yesterday that 1,400 had already been screened and now awaiting the airlift.

He added that the state would sponsor 85 officials that made the medical team, preachers, media and guides, adding that in all the state government had spent N367 million arranging the hajj exercise.

“The 17 of August has been slated for the commencement of airlift. Max Air and Azma Air are the official carriers for the state,” he said.
