The Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council in Plateau State, Pirfa Tyem, has seized several fake and expired products from shops, kiosks, and stalls across the area.

Tyem, who disclosed the confiscation on Wednesday, described the expired products as dangerous and stressed that their circulation would not be tolerated.

“We had earlier warned merchants of these fake products that the law spares no one, and any defaulter will face the full consequences,” he said.

“Our commitment is clear. We will continue to track down and eliminate every harmful product threatening our communities. Public health is non-negotiable,” he added.

It was recalled that Pirfa Jingfa Tyem recently raised the alarm over fake products and drugs in the local government, stating that he had been a victim and pledging to ensure that merchants of such acts are brought to justice.
