The Plateau State government has been called upon to exhibit transparency and accountability in the course of the administration’s project execution across the state.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ forum on Open Contracting and Project Accountability, the Chairperson of the Coalition of Civil Society and the Media on Open Contracting Partnership, Prof. Patricia Lar, said their mission is to hold government accountable for funds expended on projects in the various communities.
She also urged the state government to carry the citizens of the state along in all the aspects of project execution, as the citizens are either unaware of the projects being established in their communities, or they do not have any input whatsoever.
