The Speaker of the  Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Abok Nuhu Ayuba, has called on security agencies in the state to urgently investigate those behind the recent killings in some communities of the state.

The speaker was reacting to last week’s attacks in parts of  Dong Kasa in Jos South Local Government Area and Kwi in Riyom on Sunday night where many people were killed.

He said arresting and bringing to justice the perpetrators would serve as deterrent to others who had similar intentions to unleash unrest, calling on security to do the needful.

According to him, the killing of children and women was barbaric, condemnable and uncalled for.

“It is completely wrong for anyone to take the life of a fellow human no matter the reason. I call on people to be calm and cooperate and respect the constituted authority, “ the speaker said.
