Plateau: Lalong charges new Archbishop of Jos to be ambassador of peace, unity

The Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong, has charged the newly installed Catholic Archbishop of Jos, Reverend Matthew Ishaya Audu to be an ambassador of peace in Plateau and the country at large.

Governor Lalong who gave the charge on Thursday, at the installation of Pallium of Archbishop in Jos called on Audu to use his position as a man of God to ensure togetherness among adherents of the various religions.

The governor noted that the new Archbishop had demonstrated a strong commitment to work for unity and peaceful coexistence among Christians and adherents of other religions and advised him to say the truth and shun messages that are capable of creating hatred and division.
