The Abuja branch chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ), Mr. Jacob Edi gave the advice in Abuja at the formal presentation of Yochukwu Ofoka Yobolisa’s book “There’s Terror in the Street.”

“It is very important for Nigerians, especially the youths, to exploits the natural literary talents as it open doors to other achievements and nation building. The renowned authors who have done the nation proud may not have been known if they have not developed their literary talents,” he said.

Edi also observed that is is surprising how timely the book is because the projection of the book tallies with present happening in the country.

Book reviewer, Kakaki of Nupe and Publisher of Leadership Newspapers, Chief Sam Nda Isaiah, said the author has done justice in his writing, saying he was impressed with the author’s foresight in putting Nigerian society in a proper perspective without losing the benefit of a typical fiction book.

Chairman of the occasion, Senator Bode Olajumoke, while commending the author said the nation is crawling due to widespread indiscipline in the society and that the nation can catch up and be in the comity of respected nations if discipline can be instilled in the society, adding that Nigeria will be better for it if the citizenry were encouraged to positively develop and utilise their talents for nation building.

Author of the book, Yochukwu Ofoka Yobolisa, a journalist, writer and defence correspondent said his inspiration for the book came from his defence coverage and chains of events during the time of the notorious armed robber, Lawrence Anini.
