Please fix our roads

The TudunWada road is an eyesore. The road has not been rehabilitated in years and it has become a huge source of worry and concern to people living in the area. There are underlying rocks on the road that cause damage to car tires and even Okada tires. The road has even gotten worse during this rainy season as it is filled with potholes, mud and rocks.

Residents are currently in a state of fear.  Car owners are reluctant to ply the road for fear of damage to their cars. Okada riders fear the high probabilities of accidents that occur from slipping on the mud or hitting stones. Even pedestrians fear getting dirty. When walking on the road, clothes and shoes easily get dirty because of the water splashed by the tires of vehicles and bicycles.

Nothing is being done by the government to effect repairs on the road. The state of this road affects the health and finances of the residents. Even if the FCTA doesn’t remember us, what about Satellite Towns Development Agency, STDA? Have they forgotten us too?

TudunWada road isn’t the only road in Lugbe that needs repair; most of the inner roads in Lugbe are in a bad state. The government should repair them as a matter of priority.
