A thorny rose
Life’s like a thorny rose
Imperfect and yet beautiful
The thorns,
Our hardship
The delicate red petals,
Joy and beauty
As a young rose the petals hug
Around the seed are family and friends.
Forever
Forever we remain oblivious to the future,
Lost to the past and enduring our torture.
Forever we take chances to settle our scores,
Losing some battles and winning some wars.
Forever praying out loud hoping The One will hear,
Forever crying softly but never shedding a tear.
Forever exists behind a disguise,
But the belief its real keeps our hearts alive
