Desired Companion
She lives in Lancashire
And we met at Yorkshire
She couldn’t hide her desire
Of being part of what I aspire
I tried to inspire
Her ahead of Cheshire
And she began to prepare
Wearing her traditional attire
And distance cut my desire
Forcing me to retire
While feelings are yet to expire
She is still in Lancashire
And I am now in Kanoshire
Only Atmosphere we share
Dedicated to those who left their love abroad
Star in Race
I move like Gibbon
A time like Hogan
In wrestling wagon
I give slogan
On Kim Morgan
That lives in Michigan
I am a star
That gives no scar
To those close and far
I love this beautiful car
And the games in Madagascar
For the medals like Oscar
I am a King
That can sing
With powerful ring
How can I sing?
To that Bing
With my left wing
I love peace
And race
For an ace
We need grace
In the race
That came twice
To Khalid Imam and his bride
Keep it Up
Keep writing
They’ll keep reading
We’ll keep appreciating
The talent flowing
As well as gushing
With nourishing
Lines soothing
Things that are coming
To All bards and poetry lovers
New Dew
The newest new is still new
Many beginnings are new
Those that see its end are few
And patiently await a new dew
The morning leaves with dew
That glows are very few
The man seated near was Jew
Imagining the ladybird that flew
To those whose women left them
The poet
More ink to your pen
More fuel to your gen
More talent to your head
More butter to your bread
More goodies in your work
More strength in your walk
Keep the flag flying
We are here praying
And dancing to tunes
From our phones
Great are the bards
With flying talent like birds
To all poets
The Great Dangambo
Well known as Dan Gambo
A Zahiri Abdulqadir Dan Gambo
I regard him as Combo
An English and Hausa Modibbo
Living in Kano not in Colombo
In Hausa Literature all said Odabo
A scholar born not in Madabo
Poetic mind he has Dangambo
Lovely stories I saw in Dangambo
Great he remains Prof Dangambo
Professor Emeritus is now Dangambo
May your days be long Baba Dangambo
Correcting our work without kobo da kobo
