Police arraign 70-year-old man over military job racket

Police in Osun have arraigned a 70-year-old man, Kareem Adebayo before a Magistrate Court in Osogbo on allegations he runs a military job racket.

He was accused of defrauding a woman, Alirat Olawumi and took N250,000 from her on the pretext of getting job for her son, Jamiu in the Nigerian Army.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the offence leveled against him and his counsel,  Nagite Okobe applied for the bail of his client in the most liberal terms.

In her ruling, Magistrate Olubokola Awodele granted the accused person bail of N200,000 with one surety and adjourned the matter to 24th of November.
