Operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS) from Police Force Headquarters, Abuja have arrested at least 10 persons allegedly involved in the August 1 attack on the Kogi State House of Assembly. 

The assembly was attacked by some suspected thugs who beat up the member representing Igalamela Constituency, Friday Makama and also damaged some property in the assembly chamber.

It was learnt that the arrest, which was made in Lokoja on Wednesday on the order of the Inspector-General of Police, followed a complaint earlier lodged at the police high command over the incident.

The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Mr Wilson Inalegwu, however said he was not aware of the arrest.
