The police command in Niger State says it has arrested 15 suspected miscreants and hoodlums in Minna for various offences.
A statement on Wednesday by the command’s Public Relations officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun in Minna, said they were arrested on April 21, at about 01.45am.
He said that the arrest was in continuation of efforts of the command to eradicate thuggery in compliance with the directive of the Commissioner of Police, Adamu Elleman.
Abiodun said that the Area Commander, Minna led police patrol teams along with DPO Chanchaga Division to Shango Area, and its environs in Chanchaga to effect the arrest.
According to him, two cutlasses, one sickle, one knife, one scissor, six sticks, cannabis and other illicit drugs were recovered from them.
“All suspects are under investigation and will be prosecuted after the investigation.’’ NAN)
