The police in Anambra State, yesterday, disclosed the arrest of 151 suspected cultists across the state within 15 days.
A statement by the command’s spokesman, Haruna Muhammed, gave the breakdown of the arrests as follows: 16 in Okija, 12 in Nanka, 11 in Nkwelle, nine in Ogidi, eight in Awka, 14 in Ajali /Oko, 18 in Enugwu Uku/Nimo/Nise and 12 suspects in Fegge/Awada.
He added that 13 suspects were arrested in Onitsha, seven in Achalla, four in Urum, three in Ogbunike, 15 in Amawbia and nine in Ukwulu/Ukpo
Muhammed said the command equally recovered three machetes, four axes, two Berretta pistols and some quantities of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.
