Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command have arrested two notorious cultists linked to the recent gang war and killings in the Diobu axis of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Daily Trust recalled that about five persons, including a commercial cab driver, were hit by stray bullets and later lost their lives during the clashes between rival cults in the area recently.
Police spokesperson in Rivers State, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, stated that the deployment of special unit operatives yielded results with the arrest of a suspect identified as Diseye Ukulu, with the assistance of a local vigilante group.
She said the confession made by the arrested suspect (Ukulu) led the police to another suspect, where some sophisticated weapons were recovered.
