The Delta State Police Command has said it arrested a 53-year-old driver with 375 bottles of CSP codeine, 120 sachets of tramadol and 33 sachets of Swinol.
City & Crime reports that the Commissioner of Police in the state, Abaniwonda Olufemi, disclosed this at a press briefing with newsmen in Asaba while giving update of the achievements of the command from March 1, 2024 to date.
Olufemi, said the items were recovered from a Toyota Hiace bus by the Eagle-Net Special squad while on routine patrol along Asaba-Agbor expressway, Isele-Asagba.
He said the items were recovered when the driver of the vehicle, Sunday Eze, 53, was stopped by the operatives.

He said the driver and the items are currently in custody and investigation is on.
The commissioner, also disclosed that 135 live cartridges, concealed in a carton, were recovered from a Sienna vehicle.
He explained that the ammunition was recovered by the operatives of the squad during a stop-and-search duty.
He said the driver and five occupants escaped while the search of the vehicle was on.
Olufemi added that the vehicle and the exhibit are in custody while a manhunt for the fleeing suspects is on.
The commissioner said the command has directed all divisional police officers in the state to sustain raids of identified black spots and drug dealers in their areas of responsibility.
He also directed the DPOs to embark on visibility patrol/stop and search duty, and ensure that crime and criminality do not thrive in their areas.
