The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects over the alleged murder of a 22-year-old man, Daniel Samuel, in Michika town, Michika Local Government Area of the state.
The suspects, identified as Dakiyar Tumba, 23, and Sini Luka, 31, both residents of Michika, were alleged to have stabbed the victim to death during an attack.
Eyewitnesses said the deceased, with bloodstains on his body, managed to report the incident at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Michika before he was rushed to hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said the command acted swiftly upon receiving the complaint and arrested the suspects.
“On April 12, 2026, Daniel Samuel, aged 22, reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Michika, with visible injuries and bloodstains on his body. He alleged that Dakiyar Tumba and Sini Luka attacked and stabbed him on the back with a knife,” Nguroje said.
He explained that police operatives promptly took the victim to hospital in a bid to save his life, but he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
Nguroje added that the corpse has been deposited in the morgue for autopsy, while the knife allegedly used in the attack has been recovered as exhibit.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Kabir Umar Hassan, condemned the incident and directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to carry out a thorough investigation.
