The police in Imo State have arrested two armed robbers responsible for the spate of attacks in the Isu-Njaba Local Government Area.

In a statement, the command’s spokesman, CSP Mike Abattam, said that on November 1, 2021, at about 1pm, the command’s tactical teams while on patrol on Isu-Njaba Road arrested two men, Obiaka Uchenna (23) and Michael Ihunna (24), all of Isu-Njaba LGA.

He said, “On searching them, two locally made pistols, one live cartridge, one expanded cartridge, one Jack knife, one Pax POS machine and some quantity of weed suspected to be Indian Hemp were recovered.”

The statement added that the two confessed to the crimes and mentioned one Ozor Nwako, a welder, as the one who used to manufacture and sell the locally made guns to criminals.

CSP Abattam further said that on November 2, 2021, at about 2pm, policemen stormed the house Ozor Nwako of Isiozi Umuakachi in Isu Njaba LGA and arrested him.
