The police in Niger State have arrested two robbery suspects in Suleja and recovered some stolen items from them.
This is contained in a statement by its Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, on Tuesday in Minna.
Abiodun said that on June 13, at about 2am, a distress call was received at the ‘B’ Division, Suleja, that some suspected armed robbers were sighted around the APC Quarters area of the locality.
He said that on receipt of the call, the police patrol team of the division as well as the TST team of the command and some soldiers mobilised to the area. (NAN)
‘’On sighting the security team, the robbers took to their heels, but the team gave them a hot chase and two of them were apprehended at a mango forest, along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway in the Gauraka area.
‘’The two suspects aged 20 and 24 respectively claimed to be indigenes of Kano State.’’ (NAN)
