Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested three suspects over alleged involvement in cult related activities in the state.
The suspects, Eyefia Godbless 30, Imuetiyan Ewemade 30 and Emeka Okpja 22, were arrested by the command’s crack team while acting on credible intelligence.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabizor, said the suspects who are members of Maphite secret cult were sighted at Ubiaza Community, Off Sapele Road, Benin City having a clandestine meeting in order to avenge the killing of one of their members identified as Kokori who was allegedly killed by a rival secret cult called Aye in June, 2024.
According to him, the suspects made statements and confessed to being members of the Maphite Secret Cult.

He said one of the suspects, Eyefia Godbless, confessed to being the number one of Maphite in Edo State.
