Police arrest 3 over initiation in Edo

The police in Edo State have arrested three suspects over allegedly forcefully initiating one Osamudiamen Omozee into the Eiye confraternity.

The victim, it was learnt, was lured by Olumekha Omosuwe into a house located in Evbo-Ekoi community on the pretense of giving him a job and in the process forcefully initiated him into cultism.

The command’s spokesman, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, said the victim reported to the police that Omosuwe lured him to a certain house along Benin-Auchi road with the pretense of giving him a job but that on getting to the place, Omosuwe and others at large attacked the complainant and forcefully initiated him into Eiye secret cult.

He said three suspects, including Omosuwe, were arrested by the anti-kidnapping and cybercrime unit using tactical means, adding that they made statements and admitted to the crime.
