The Edo State police command said it has arrested three suspects in connection with the kidnap of four lecturers and 13 students of the university of Benin, Edo State.

The State Commissioner of Police, Lawan Tanko Jimeta, who disclosed this to our reporter yesterday said the victims, who were kidnapped on Tuesday, were released on Wednesday unhurt by their abductors and had been reunited with their families.

It was gathered that the lecturers and students were kidnapped by gunmen, suspected to be herders on Tuesday while returning to Benin from a field trip from Igarra in Edo State.
