Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested three suspects, Jamilu Idris (20), Usman Shuaibu (24) and Yahuza Usman (20)over armed robbery and kidnapping in the state.

The suspects, it was learnt, were arrested by the police in collaboration with vigilantes on March 16 in Estako West LGA of the state.

The command’s spokesperson, CSP Moses Yamu, said operatives of the Agbede police division alongside vigilantes, arrested the suspects while on stop and search in Aviele along Abumere by power line.

He said following a search conducted on the suspects, one English made beretta pistol, one dagger, and an Infinix phone were recovered from them 

Yamu said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects were part of a syndicate responsible for kidnaping and armed robbery, including snatching of motorcycles in the area.
