Three armed robbery suspects, who the police said had been terrorizing residents of Badagry and its environs, have been arrested.

The suspects, identified as Clark Chidiebere, 24; Ibrahim Fasasi, 21 and Abiodun Fasasi, 25, were arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) stationed at Mowo area of Badagry.

Lagos State Commissioner of Police Imohimi Edgal, who paraded the suspects before journalists, yesterday, said January 31, at about 11.30am, information was received from a credible source that some bike-riding armed robbers were in the premises of Distance Ventures, Badagry, robbing the owner and customers alike.

“​Based on the information, SARS operatives stationed at Mowo-Badagry raced to the scene where they engaged the robbers who were shooting sporadically as they retreated. However, they were subdued by the superior fire power of the SARS operatives, who arrested three of the robbers on Gbagi bridge while the rest jumped into the river,” he added.
