Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested one Matthew Igbinovia 21, Atiewonkhae Bethel 25 and Ochogbo Maxwell 19, for allegedly being in possession of 75 rounds of live cartridges in Edo State.

The suspects it was gathered were arrested along Benin-Agbor road during a stop and search operation by the police.

The Edo State Police Commissioner, Muhammed Dankwara, said the suspects were arrested by the operatives of the Ikpoba Hill division of the state police command.

He said the police were on stop and search along Benin-Agbor road when they intercepted a green coloured Toyota Camry vehicle with registration number BEN 106 BL with the three suspects.

Dankwara said upon search on the vehicle, 75 rounds of live cartridges were recovered from the suspect.

He said the suspects are helping the police in investigations, adding that as soon as investigations are completed the suspects would be charged to court.
