The police in Benue State have arrested four people for allegedly breaking into a  house and stealing valuable items.

Spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command, DSP Sewuese Catherine Anene, stated that the arrest was effected by SARS operatives working on the credible information.

“Information was received that some hoodlums broke into a house and stole some valuables. SARS operatives swung into action and arrested one Kenneth Ogbole Okpoju ‘m’ of Adoka Otukpo LGA of Benue State. Further investigation led to the arrest of the following suspects; Isah Ibrahim, Abdulrahaman Yunusa and Alhassan Ali all ‘m’ of Kano Street, Wadata,” she stated.

Anene added that eight different brands of plasma television sets and one old model television were recovered from them.

The police spokesperson said the case is still under investigation and urged members of the public to visit the SARS office at the police headquarters to identify their stolen property.
