The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 54 suspected dealers of hard drugs within the state capital.

Spokesman of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, in a statement, yesterday, said the suspects were arrested in various criminal hideouts during a special raid exercise across the state.

He said some of the suspects were dealing in cocaine, Indian hemp, suck-and-die, solution, tramadol and many other dangerous drugs.

Haruna said one Mujahid Abubakar and Iliya Garba were arrested at Sabon Gari Market from whom large quantity of hard drugs were recovered.

He said the the suspects have confessed to the crime while effort was being intensified to arrest their accomplices for arraignment in court after investigation.
