Operatives of the Delta State Police Command arrested 627 suspected criminals from January to December, 2025.

The Commissioner of Police (CP), Olufemi Agbaniwonda, said the suspects consisted of 140 armed robbers, 113 kidnappers, 125 murder suspects, 187 cultists and 62 arrested for rape and defilement.

The CP said N36m ransom money was recovered within the period under review, in addition to 144 firearms, including 27 AK-47/AK-49 rifles, 25 Beretta pistols, 56 single barrel/cut-to-size guns, 36 pump action guns and ammunition and 6,930 cartridges.

He said 18 kidnap victims were rescued while 28 vehicles were recovered.
