The police in Osun State have arrested seven suspected armed robbers allegedly terrorising Osogbo community.

The suspects are Lasisi Isiaka, Akintayo Adekunle, Kamoru Olofaina, Adeniyi Akeem, Basiru Soliu, Umoru Saheed and Kunle Aderibigbe.

Daily Trust gathered that one Hauwa Jamiu reported to the police that her house at Oluwalogbon Estate, behind Konkobilo, Ilobu Road, was robbed and police detectives commenced investigation immediately.

Jamiu told the police that her property, including a plasma television, one mini laptop, one mobile phone and jewelry were carted away by the robbers.  

It was gathered that majority of the suspects are ex-convicts who have just completed jail terms. 

One Samsung Galaxy S6 phone, several laptops, television sets, one unregistered Bajaj motorcycle and other items believed to be stolen property, as well as weapons were recovered from the suspects.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Fimihan Adeoye, said the suspects would be charged to court after investigation.
