Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested 77 suspects allegedly involved in various crimes in the state.
The police also recovered N4.1 million in ransom money from the arrested suspected kidnappers.
Briefing journalists, the state Commissioner of Police, Olufemi Abaniwonda, said the suspects were arrested over alleged kidnapping, armed robbery, murder, cultism, and illegal possession of firearms, among other offences.
He confirmed that the command arrested a total of 77 suspects and rescued five kidnapped victims within the period.

According to the commissioner, the police also recovered 13 firearms, 591 ammunition and cartridges and three vehicles.
He urged the public to report any suspicious persons or movement within their environment to the police.
