The police in Lagos State have arrested a Beninois house help who allegedly kidnapped two of her employer’s children.

The two children, who have been rescued, the police said, were abducted by the suspect, who was asked by her ‘madam’ to pick the kids from school.

It was learnt that the incident took place on November 6, 2018.

The police command spokesman, Chike Oti, who confirmed the development said unknown to the mother of the children, the house help planned to kidnap her children – a 6-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl – and executed her plan effortlessly because she was known to the school authorities and familiar with the children.  “Investigation so far revealed that Busayo is a member of a kidnap syndicate which gives her out as house help to unsuspecting parents.

“When she finally lands the job, she warms her way into the children’s heart and wins the trust of her employers. Once she gets to this stage, she bares her fangs,” he added. He said the suspect was arrested on November 26 at a location close to the Nigeria Seme border, in Benin Republic.
