The police in Katsina State have arrested a suspected car thief and recovered two stolen vehicles from him during investigation.

The suspect, Wadatau Lawan, 49, of Marina village, Sokoto State, was reportedly intercepted by a police patrol team with a stolen car.

The spokesman of Katsina police command, SP Gambo Isah, in a statement said on July 11, a police patrol team attached to Malumfashi Area Command effected the arrest while on routine patrol in Malumfashi town. During the course of investigation another motor vehicle was equally uncovered, he added.

He said the suspect would be arraigned in court immediately investigation is completed.
