Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested two suspects identified as Tega Micheal, 26, and Tena Sagbene, 32, over alleged murder in the state.
The command’s spokesperson, Bright Edafe, said the suspects have been on the Police’s wanted list over the murder of one Alex Adanike, on January 20, 2026 in cult related killings.
He said on January 20, 2026, members of Supreme Vikings Confraternity also known as Aro Bagger gruesomely shot and stabbed to death one Alex Adanike, 31, of Agbhara-Otor Community.
“The suspects who are cultists mistook the deceased for his twin brother, Okpako Adanike and shot him dead.”
According to him, the police had earlier arrested two suspects identified as Warri Ochuko and Lucky Okohwoake, in connection with the murder
He said the suspects had confessed to the commission of the crime.
Edafe explained that Tega Micheal and Tena Sagbene were arrested during a raid on criminal hideouts in Ughelli and Warri areas of the state, led by DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
He said the duo were identified by the suspects in custody as part of their gang members who murdered the deceased on the said date.
