Men of the Jigawa State Police Command have arrested a 19-year-old, Adamu Ibrahim for killing his friend, Ibrahim Hassan, over a theft of handset.

The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Abdul Jinjiri, made the disclosure yesterday while speaking to Daily Trust in Dutse. 

He said trouble ensued after Ibrahim had accused a friend to the deceased of handset theft.

According to him, the deceased fought Ibrahim for accusing his friend of stealing the handset and that it was in the process that Ibrahim, who is a butcher, used his knife to kill Hassan.

He added that  the murder suspect, who has since been arrested in Ringim local government area alongside four others, was undergoing interrogation in police custody. The four others suspects were however released  after proving their innocence.

Jinjiri stated that investigation had since been concluded and that the suspect would be arraigned before a court for the law to take its course.
